This makes me want to watch every Star Trek movie ever, in succession.

Yesterday was my first day back at work after my surgery. It was an okay day. Moving around is definitely still uncomfortable and I think the store manager asked me about 5 times if I was okay when she first saw me in the back room moving between the microwave and my chair on my lunch. It was sweet. It's nice to work in a place where everyone so obviously cares and more about you and your health that the "job."

By the end of the day, I was so achey and ready to crash, but.. I made it through a whole day of work in one piece. No heavy lifting for me, so I'm getting other people to carry the computers for me, which I hate doing, but it could be worse and it was kind of nice to be back even if I spent most of the day wishing I was back home in my bed.

hope_guides_me saved me a bunch of animated Pooh Bear icons yesterday that I am going to have to make room for. They are SO cute.

I'm struggling to find the energy to RP. Finding a comfortable way to hold the laptop and type a lot is a challenge and being back at work while I am still sore? Definitely an energy sucker. I'd hoped to come off of my hiatuses while I was off work, but there was just no way and I think I'll have to keep them up until I'm back to 100%. Hopefully, that will be soon. I slept for well over 8 hours last night and I'm still exhausted.

I predict that I am the last person on my flist to see this, but The REAL Twilight Script is the funniest thing I have ever read. It hurt like hell to laugh at it, but it was totally worth it.

.. oh, you probably shouldn't click that link if you think Twilight is the best thing ever written ever and will be offended by it being mocked. Just sayin.

Blah. I dropped my Maria hold for now, because I was struggling with the app.

Also, because they're adding Privileged and I have been dying to play a Sage. I'm going to have to rewatch all the episodes so far to get a handle on the kids of things I want in her history and randomly pick a birthday. I'm thinking summerish. June or July. Maybe. I have most of the rest of her app written, so, yes.

I may have to revisit Maria, though. If I end up dropping Claudia. Which I am undecided on, but we'll see.

.. I really need a 12 step program or something. There are too many amazing characters that are so fun to play.

Speaking of which? Lyla, she is fun. I'm really glad I jumped on that one. :D

Aaaaaand I am off tomorrow. People should expect to be harassed for RP, because I'm in the mood to play things.

It really sucks to have a few characters you really love and feel like you just can't get any decent plot for them. It seems like all anyone is every interested in anymore is OTPs and even then, everyone wants to play the girl. While I don't mind playing my boys at all (and I try very hard to keep a balance of boys to girls in my active characters), it would be nice if I could get people to show some interest in scening with my girls, too.

Also, people who get annoyed when you refuse to write smut with them kind of piss me off.

In happier new, after working 7 days straight, I have an actual day off tomorrow. I may actually find some time to play.

... I really need to learn self-control. Because I am very tempted to hold Maria DeLuca at BW.

Although... I'd totally want a Michael if I did.

*sigh* I miss Roswell.

I was also tempted to hold Vanessa from Gossip Girl, but I already have 3 kids at Forks and I want to stay even, so I think Maria would be a better choice. I don't have anyone in her year at either school, either. :D

On the bright side.. it'd max me out and then I couldn't have anyone else.

Though if I don't get some plot for Claudia soon, I may be tempted to drop her. Doesn't anyone want to app some BSC characters to play with her? :DDDD

/silly ramblings

Eating the right foods and making myself go to sleep at a reasonable time is making such a difference. I'm sticking with low fat foods - mostly soups, but some low fat snacks and things, too and I'm making myself go to bed at or before midnight, regardless of my shift the next day, and I am feeling better. Not 100%, but it's much more bearable and I think I can managed until the 10th without being completely miserable.

Speaking of which, it's my bedtime. :P

Surgery is tentatively scheduled for November 17, pending approval from work. It's kind of a bad week in terms of other people being gone, so they may ask me to put it off until the beginning of December. Blah.

I kind of want to get it over with. Seeing my sister (and maybe even baby Nessa who is not such a BABY anymore) will be AWESOME, but I'm going to be stressing about this and feeling like crap on and off until it's done. On the list of things I am not allowed to have? Eggs, anything fatty or greasy or oily, dairy.. basically I'm allowed things that are bland and not much that tastes good.

On the bright side of things, I am heading to Georgia for an extended weekend with Crystal tomorrow after work. I took a couple of extra days off, so I'll be spending four days there AND I'll get to celebrate her son's birthday with the family. Exciting! Narcissa is going to go with me, since I don't want to leave her alone for four days and I don't really have anyone here to watch after her.

I have a few hours before work, so I think I'm going to nap a little.
